Totton: Investigation after tyres and wood set on fire – Southern Daily Echo

An investigation has been launched after tyres and wood were set alight in Totton.
Officers were called to Totton Pump Track following reports of vandalism and anti-social behaviour.
Tyres and wood were set on fire on the football and basketball court.
Officers are investigating the incident and a warning has since been published online.
In a post on Facebook, the force said the council is ‘experiencing issues with youths who enjoy trying to recreate the sun on their basketball court at Bartley Skate Park.’

Officers said: “Does your little cherub come home at night stinking of burning tyres?
“Do they enjoy sneaking your lighters and setting fire to your favourite pair of slippers? Or how about literally “sitting back and watching it all burn.”
“So if your ‘butter wouldn’t melt but his tyres do’ child comes home stinking of an old ashtray with a hint of Michelin, give us a call.”
