What is tyre labelling?

Tyre labelling refers to a regulation introduced by the EU in 2012. Under this legislation, all new tyres sold in Europe (with a few exceptions) must be labeled to indicate their performance in certain criteria, similar to how fridges, freezers, or light bulbs are labeled.

The label provides grades for three key categories that should be taken into account when selecting a tyre:

• Fuel Efficiency • Wet Grip • External Rolling Noise
