What do I need to take with me for fitting?

On the day of your tyre fitting please ensure that you have printed out, or at least have a note of your BC reference number. Also, ensure that you have your locking wheel nut key and that the tyre fitter is made aware of its location.

If less than 4 tyres are being fitted to your vehicle, make sure to confirm with the fitter which tyres are being replaced – to avoid any confusion.

Pre fitting

Fitting at garage

Please ensure you have read our terms and conditions

  • Please ensure that you have your locking wheel nut key and that the fitting centre is made aware of its location.
  • Make sure you double check the tyre size, speed rating and load rating of the tyres in your order against your existing tyre size. If you have ordered the wrong set in error, contact us.
  • Double check the location of the garage and you have directions on how to get there.
  • Double check the date and time of your fitting to ensure you arrive in plenty of time for your appointment.
  • Remember to confirm with the fitter which tyres are being changed when you arrive.
  • Take along your order number to the fitting centre. Your order number begins BC and is followed by a series of numbers - i.e. BC1234567

Mobile fitting

  • Please ensure that you have your locking wheel nut key and that the fitter is made aware of its location.
  • Make sure you double check the tyre size, speed rating and load rating of the tyres in your order against your existing tyre size. If you have ordered the wrong set in error, contact us.
  • Ensure your handbrake is engaged. As the fitting takes place on jacks, it is recommended that you choose a spot that is flat.

What to expect during fitting

  • Please allow approximately 30 minutes for the fitting of each tyre at a fitting centre. For mobile fitters, this timeframe may be a little longer due to the use of jacks rather than ramps.
  • The fully fitted price includes; valve, balance, VAT and case disposal. Specialist fitment valves, (e.g. pressure sensors or metal bodied valves) are not included. These may incur additional costs from the garage if a replacement is required.

After the fitting

  • After your tyres have been fitted, it is strongly recommended that your wheel nuts are checked after approximately 50 miles. This is to ensure they have settled correctly and have remained at the correct torque setting.

Please note: any fitting timings given is an average figure - some tyres may take longer and others shorter to fit.
