Could you please provide an explanation of the scores used in tyre labelling?

There are three main categories that are scored, which are as follows:

• Rolling Resistance: The grades range from A to E and indicate the relative fuel efficiency performance level. A represents the highest performance tyre in its category, while E represents the least performing tyre.

• Wet Grip: The grades range from A to E and indicate the relative wet grip performance level. A represents the highest performance tyre in its category, while E is currently used to represent the least performing tyre.

• External Noise: The tyre's exterior noise is measured in decibels (dB) and is represented by one, two, or three sound. These sound waves indicate the performance the against current regulations. Three bars indicate that the tyre meets current limits two bars indicate that the tyre meets future limits, one bar shows that the tyre is3dB below future limits.
