Pontardawe and Ammanford drivers fined for dodgy tyres | South … – South Wales Guardian

THREE people were recently in court for having dodgy tyres.
Kieran Thomas O’Rourke, 36, of Dyffryn Road, Ammanford, admitted having a dodgy tyre at Llanelli Magistrates Court on March 13.
He was charged with using a vehicle when the ply or cord was exposed on the tyre after he was caught on September 18 driving a Ford Transit on Marsh Street, Llanelli, when the pneumatic tyre fitted to the front offside wheel had the ply or cord exposed.
He was fined £236, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £94 surcharge and £90 costs.
Christopher William Charles Bassett, 60, of Cwrt Neville, Llanelli admitted having a dodgy tyre at Llanelli Magistrates Court on April 5.
He was charged with using a vehicle when the ply or cord was exposed on the tyre after he was caught on October 23 driving a Fiat Doblo on Coopers Road, Ammanford, when the pneumatic tyre fitted to the front nearside wheel had the ply or cord exposed.
He was fined £86, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Joel Rhys Richards, 19, of Baran Road, Pontardawe, admitted having a dodgy tyre at Llanelli Magistrates Court on April 6.
He was charged with using a vehicle when the ply or cord was exposed on the tyre after he was caught on October 27 driving a Ford Fiesta on Lammas Street, Carmarthen, when the pneumatic tyre fitted to the front offside wheel had the ply or cord exposed.
He was fined £80, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £32 surcharge and £90 costs.
